Altered Spaces is the title for what became the book Hinterland [see books]. A nostalgia for the loss in a changing landscape & the melancholic anonymity of condemned histories. To occupy space is to occupy a history of that space but the development of convenience eclipses the peculiarities of form & function for a finite pattern of dislocated formality.
